On The Hunt For A Spot In Dubai
Posted: 26th October 2009
After The Vivendi Trophy I returned to play very well at the Dunhill finishing in 9th position, it’s a tournament I look forward to every year and this year was no exception. It was great to be received as well as I was at the Dunhill by my peers - the Vivendi Trophy in Association with Seve obviously caught the imagination of all the players and public alike and I think it has a bright future.
I was looking forward to playing the following week in Madrid but had to pull out on the Wednesday to a recurrence of a tendon strain in the back of my left hand. After a week of physio and MRI scans I was able to return to play in the Portugal Masters, where I thoroughly enjoyed my week and played very well to shoot 13 under par. However, the course yielded a lot of birdies and quite frankly I was amazed how good the scoring was, considering its one of the longest courses we play all year on tour.
Last week was a disappointing week but I move on to Singapore this week where I am still very much pursuing my spot in the Race to Dubai. I will need to win €250,000 in the next few weeks to secure my spot.
